Saturday 19th May saw a beautiful gala evening hosted by Investing in women who raised funds in aid of Womankind. A charity focusing on global movement for change for women by strengthening and protecting women‘s rights. Particularly aiming to help end all forms of violence against women and girls, aid in women economics rights and to increase women influence in decision making and political power. With a scrumptious menu and never ending champagne, it was an gala evening to remember.
Sartch was proud to donate a magnificent piece by emerging artist Godwin Adesoye. This specific artwork was picked to highlight the women’s right movement. Emphasising on the female form, Godwin created the piece in memory of the most beautiful woman that he held most dear in his heart. We figured it was the perfect fit for the theme of the night.
The lucky bidder was able to snatch the artwork at a steal for £5,000. Whilst talking to the auction winner, they stated ” I have always wanted to start an art collection. I have been looking for emerging artistic talent. However i just didn’t have any luck or advise with buying the right pieces. So happy to get this one, will be hanging it on my wall and in a few years will be looking forward to the rise in value!”.
The money raised will go a long way supporting this worthy cause of women empowerment.
